What a long, strange adventure into Minecraft it has been. In all, I would say I'm thankful for the opportunity to explore how I learn through the medium of video games, because I had the chance to connect play with rich learning like I never had before.
Below, you can see a video summary of my project, my reflections on my learning and a brief address of my 10 inquiry questions from the beginning of the project. The ten inquiry questions were:
1. What does Minecraft have to teach us about education?
2. How can different content areas incorporate Minecraft?
3. Why does Minecraft appeal to so many different audiences?
4. Why do we remember more while playing video games than reading a book? Or does it depend on the person?
5. How can I use what I learn in my classroom?
6. What does Minecraft have to do with mathematics?
7. What sort of online community/collective can I expect to find when I set out on my adventure?
8. How often do trolls ruin the Minecraft experience? Or do they?
9. Will I even enjoy playing Minecraft, and for how long?
10. How will I know my "class" (project) is complete?
