Level 5: Wraparound Supports
Strategies:
1. I plan to have special conferences with students who need this level of support, and I will include family members, peers or other teachers if necessary. These meetings will allow us to develop an individualized plan as a team to support the student's best interests. (Villa & Thousand)
2. Parents can expect to get a call from me if their child reaches this level of needed supports. (Wong & Wong) By doing so I can increase their involvement with the child's education, and set up a meeting to help involve them further if needed.
3. Since my students will be familiar with class meetings, I can tweak them slightly to include Restorative Circles for students who need them. This should allow my students to have more power in the process of restoring peers as a whole. (Pranis)
